Careers

Our program is designed to prepare graduates with the theory, working knowledge and hands-on skills needed to enter the work force as an entry-level heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technician. 

The program includes training in the service, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on equipment that would typically be found across the country in heating and cooling residential systems, light commercial systems, roof top units, and steam and hot water boilers.

 Also included in this course are the following exams:

Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) Industry Competency Exam (ICE) for Light Commercial Air Conditioning and Heating.

 The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) CFC Refrigerant Certification Exam

National Institute for The Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) 5th Class Boiler Operators Certification Exam.

Our program consists of either 24 weeks (full time day students), or 48 weeks (part time night students), totalling 30 quarter credit hours of theory and related lab instruction.

Upon completion of this program, American Air Conditioning Academy will award a Diploma as an HVAC/R Technician.
